GRATITUDE

The Hands That Built MAHENDI

A house is not built by one pair of hands.

Ours was built—and rebuilt—by many. By the women who brought their gifts, their belief, and their hands to the work. Each helped shape the way MAHENDI looks, feels, and speaks today.

This page is for them.

THE ORIGINAL FOUNDERS

The women at the beginning

Before MAHENDI became a place, it was an idea held by women who believed beauty could carry purpose. Their distinct talents became the first language of the brand.

Heather

DO GOOD GURU

Heather kept purpose at the center—always asking whom our work could serve and how beauty might become a force for good.

Mara

JEWELRY DESIGNER

Mara helped give the earliest MAHENDI pieces their form, translating meaning and symbol into jewelry meant to be carried close.

Dani

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Dani shaped MAHENDI’s first visual language, creating the graphic foundation that helped the brand become recognizable.

Vanessa

STORYTELLER

Vanessa helped us find the words for what we felt before we knew how to say it, giving MAHENDI an early voice of its own.

Lauren

SOCIAL MEDIA

Lauren brought MAHENDI into the world with energy and belief, creating connection and helping our earliest community begin to grow.

THE PARTNERS

Those who help carry MAHENDI forward

Paige and Tim are partners in MAHENDI—each bringing a different kind of care, instinct, and experience to the way the brand continues to grow.

Paige

PARTNER · DAUGHTER BY CHOICE

Paige first came into Tera’s life as her children’s nanny and became a daughter by choice. When MAHENDI opened its first pop-up retail space, bringing her into the story felt natural. Today, she helps carry it forward as a partner.

Tim

PARTNER ·  EXPERIENCE CURATOR

Tim brings an expert eye to merchandising and the curation of MAHENDI’s retail spaces. As a partner, he shapes how every object, pause, and detail becomes part of the MAHENDI experience.

THE FIRST DOOR

The space that made it possible

Before MAHENDI had a place of its own, someone had to see what it could become—and make room for it.

Mari Pat

LANDLORD · EARLY BELIEVER

Mari Pat saw MAHENDI’s potential and invited us to join her in her first retail space. She made our beginning possible and welcomed us to Bedford.  Today, we continue to share the space MAHENDI calls home.

THE PHOTOGRAPHERS

Those who gave MAHENDI its eye

Through every chapter, photographers have preserved more than what MAHENDI looked like. They have held the atmosphere, the memory, and the feeling of being there.

Geordan Hay

EDITORIAL STORYTELLING & HUMAN CONNECTION

Geordan brings balance to MAHENDI—storytelling with editorial artistry, always grounded in human connection. Through her lens, the emotion and beauty of MAHENDI are preserved.

Breanna

THE FIRST RETAIL SPACE

Breanna stepped in when we opened our first retail space. Her sepia-toned, old-world photographs preserve the beauty and spirit of the store we later lost in the fire.

Marlaina

THE FIRST PHOTOGRAPHS OF MAHENDI

Marlaina created some of the first photographs of MAHENDI. Her talent gave the brand an early visual identity, and those images remain part of how MAHENDI is seen today.

Those who bring the story to life

They do more than wear the pieces. Through their presence, spirit, and belief, they reveal something true about the women of MAHENDI

.

Mallory

THE FACE OF MAHENDI · TOGETHER MAHENDI

Mallory is the face of the new MAHENDI imagery and Together MAHENDI—the essence of the MAHENDI woman. Bohemian, natural, and true to herself, she walks through the world with clarity, wisdom, strength, and grace.

Ava

MODEL · TOGETHER MAHENDI

Ava brings a gentle, kind beauty to Together MAHENDI. Her quiet presence lets the pieces be seen without ever losing the person wearing them.

Haley

THE HYPE GIRL · OUR BEDFORD CONNECTION

Haley is our hype girl, our connection to Bedford, and a lover of all things MAHENDI. She saw what MAHENDI could become before we did—and made sure we believed it, too.
